About Keep Union City Safe
Keep Union City Safe is a dedicated community-driven movement founded by local residents, safety advocates, and firefighters who believe that public safety should never be compromised.
When community members voted to pass Measure QQ, it was a clear mandate to ensure all fire stations remain open and fully staffed. The recent decision by city officials to bypass voter trust and close Fire Station 30 poses a direct threat to response times during life-threatening medical emergencies and structural fires.
Why Our Work Matters
Seconds count in an emergency. Closing neighborhood fire stations increases response windows far beyond established national safety guidelines. We are committed to holding leadership accountable, educating the public, and safeguarding Union City neighborhoods.
